In a process of “Visio Divina”, photos and artwork will prompt our reflections about how creation reveals the presence of the Creative Mystery in our lives.  St. Francis saw a familial relationship with creatures and creation.  This “garden” harmony gives us a perspective on how to enjoy creation as well as tend it.  Participants may want to bring a photo of a special place in nature.  A snack and beverage might also be desired.

Bill Tarter is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and currently lives in Victoria, BC as a Canadian citizen. He was ordained a Roman Catholic Franciscan priest in 1983, now an Anglican priest in the "Diocese of the Islands and Inlets". His Franciscan home is among the Community of Francis and Clare, of which he is currently the Guardian. Education was the main focus of his thirty year career when he left the Roman Franciscans. He has been a teacher, school psychologist, and an elementary principal. His current ministry is serving as a Cathedral "Canon". He and his husband celebrated thirty-four years together this autumn.

Participation is by Donation, which will be shared between the presenters and Star of the Sea for upkeep of the building. Donations may be made at the event or as outlined on our homepage.
