Elvira Clare Hamilton will offer sacred chants as part of Star of the Sea’s ongoing chants evenings.
Elvira, a long time resident of Salt Spring Island, is a writer of songs and chants that are descriptive of the spiritual journey. All are welcome to join in an evening of Singing/Chanting as a contemplative practice. Singing these inspirational chants with intention, purpose and feeling is a simple and effective way of softening and opening the inner Heart to deeper levels of awareness and Presence. While repeating a sacred musical phrase may begin as an external form of spiritual expression, it gradually deepens into subtler dimensions of the Soul’s outpouring.
Each chant will be followed by a short period of contemplative silence and meditation. All participants will be “muted” during the evening so that everyone in their own home can sing along with Elvira. Song sheets will be sent to participants prior to the evening, along with the link to join the Zoom session.

Those who have not used Zoom should go to ZOOM and click on Sign Up for Free to download the app. A minute of two before the session begins, attendees simply need to click on the code they have been provided and the session will open for them.
